PHRONESIS exists so Ethiopian students can stop fighting through noise and finally study what matters. We are building a single home for efficient learning from Grade 1 to university — a place where great explanations, trimmed notes, and honest guidance are always within reach.
The vision is ambitious but simple: every learner deserves a clear map, expert tools, and a community that pushes them forward.
Founder Story · Part I
It started with ESSLCE prep and a mountain of clutter.
Right after my ESSLCE exams, I tried to build my own notes. That meant rereading Grade 9 through Grade 12 material, trimming what wasn’t needed, and reorganizing everything so it could actually be used during revision.
The deeper I went, the more frustrated I became. I wasn’t alone — friends felt lost in a sea of content, wasting months chasing information instead of mastering concepts.

Frustration turned into a blueprint.
PHRONESIS became the solution I wished existed — a compact space that respects a student’s time and energy, without the fluff. Grade 12 ESSLCE is our starting point because that’s where the pressure is highest, but the plan is much bigger.
We’re laying the groundwork for a national learning hub: curated content for every grade, college-ready resources, mentorship, and community-driven tutoring all inside a single platform.

Meet the Founder
Hunde Tefera · Founder & Lead Developer
I’m a physics student at Addis Ababa University and the founder of PHRONESIS, a platform I built to bring structure, clarity, and measurable progress to students.
I lead product architecture, curriculum design, and platform development, combining technical execution with a deep understanding of the learning challenges students face.
My focus is simple: I build systems that reduce confusion, increase efficiency, and make academic success repeatable, not accidental.
