Terms and Conditions
Acceptance & General Use
By accessing PHRONESIS, you enter into a legally binding agreement with the platform owner. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease using the platform. We reserve the absolute right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or restrict access to anyone at our sole discretion, without notice or liability.
When you use notes, study dashboards, or practice exams, you agree that PHRONESIS may record study-progress data needed to run those features, including reading time by subject or topic, practice-exam session duration and completion, study-session timestamps, exam scores, and account plan status where applicable.
No Warranties & Limitation of Liability
PHRONESIS provides educational tools "as is" and "as available". We explicitly disclaim all warranties, express or implied. The platform owner is entirely shielded from and holds zero liability for your exam results, educational outcomes, data loss, or any indirect/consequential damages resulting from your use of this service.
Intellectual Property & Ownership
All platform code, design, curated educational materials, and branding are the exclusive property of the PHRONESIS owner. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license strictly for personal learning use. You may not scrape, copy, resell, or distribute our content.
User Submissions & Community Moderation
By submitting feedback, avatars, or posting in community spaces, you grant PHRONESIS a perpetual, royalty-free license to host, display, or utilize that content for platform operations. We reserve the absolute right to delete any user-generated content at any time, for any reason, without appeal.
Governing Law & Right to Modify
These terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. We reserve the absolute right to unilaterally modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes your decisive acceptance of the new terms.
Privacy Policy
What We Collect & Why It's Necessary
To run PHRONESIS effectively, we strictly collect only what is necessary:
- OAuth Data: Your name and email from Google (required to authenticate and secure your account).
- Study & Exam Data: Your assessment scores, reading time by subject/topic, practice-exam session duration and completion, progress, study timestamps, and account plan status where applicable (required to power learner stats, admin aggregates, and the core learning features).
- Diagnostic Metadata: IP addresses and error logs (required to defend the platform against attacks and fix bugs).
- Avatars: Profile pictures you upload (required for account personalization).
We do not collect unnecessary advertising data, and we do not sell your personal data to data brokers.
Admin Reporting & Aggregates
Authorized administrators may view aggregated platform reporting derived from learner activity, including signups, active users, repeat visits, average exam scores, reading and exam time, completion rates, retention windows, paid-plan conversion, and subject/topic-level study trends across users. These views are intended for platform operations, product improvement, and support decisions.
Data Retention & Security
Data is retained as long as your account is active to ensure service continuity. If an account is terminated, related study data is deleted, except where retention is strictly necessary for legal compliance or security dispute resolution. We implement rigorous technical controls (including CSRF tokens and secure session cookies) to protect your required data.
Your Rights
You maintain the right to request access to or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting our support channels. Deleting your necessary data will result in immediate termination of your ability to use the PHRONESIS service.
